Education Committee

Mission Statement

The Northside Education Committee promotes, designs, supports, and implements educational programs that service the needs of schools and students in the Northside community. This includes monthly reports disseminating pertinent information concerning Northside education programs to educational liaisons, organizations, city school board members and Northside residents.

Chase Elementary Wishlist

  • Tutors for 30 minutes between 8-10:30am or 12:30-2pm
  • Junk Trunk Donations. Reward snacks (no gum please) for students with good participation and work ethic
  • School uniforms. New or gently used. White, light blue or navy tops and black, navy or khaki bottoms
  • Fundraising/Scholarships for 5-8th grade college tour in May of 2011. 40 students attending, cost per child is $275

Current Goals:

  • To cooperate with LSDMC in order to help Chase School achieve One Plan goals
  • To support Asset Building Committee in their efforts to build developmental assets
  • To advocate for Chase School during Cincinnati Public School Board Meetings
  • To support "Green" initiatives at Chase Elementary
  • To engage Chase Elementary Parents in the community and the education process

The Education Committee received an “Extra Mile Award” in 2004 from Parents for Public Schools.
